Locked Up

We received the Lock Up invoice in the mail yesterday, so decided to have a stickybeak in the afternoon.

Front Facade - Rendering and some brick detail to be completed.

We have extended the garage by 1.1 meters. The wires sticking out of the wall is for the Telstra smart wiring hub.

Looking toward the rear access roller door. They have started on the eaves.

This the entry set we have decided on.

The pillars will be renderd Woodland Grey, with the remainder render on the front facade being in Dune. Dune

Day 56

Central heating installed Right Elevation

Started on the slimline bricks on the facade.

Cavity sliding units have been installed as well as wall insulation.

Plaster delivered.

Close to lockup...

Garage brickwork complete. Alfresco wall. Hope the bricks come up after the clean.

Ducted heating and Evap ducting.

Entry door installed.

The electricians have started their rough in and the plumbers have attached more fitting in preperation for the mixer taps.

Bricks........

I have been busy with work and have not been to the block for a week or so. Bloody cold this morning. Noticed the Plovers have multiplied, there are three of the f&*^%$# now. They left me alone, but the cold didn't.

The bricks we have chosen are Boral Labassa with offwhite mortar.

Our garage forms the boundry on the left elevation. Looking forward to the next door neighbour kids playing downball, while I am trying to listen to the footy in my office.

We have noticed a couple thing that we need to follow up with the site supervisor.

1. We seem to be missing a down pipe on the left elevation as per the contract drawings. They should be at 12m centres. In the photo above, the downpipe should be to the left of the fixed window.

2. I noticed a tradie wearing a Hawthorn beanie. This is not on and has to stop!! I will not tolerate this and will escalate this to the RSPCA if the builder does not sub contract to decent humans.

They have made a mess of the temp fencing.

The brickies seem to be doing a great job!!

We should be at lock up by the end of next week Our CSC has advised us the plasters are ready to go and are just waiting for the brickies to get the job done.

Bricks Delivered

Our bricks had been delivered sometime on Friday. The bricks we have chosen are Boral Labassa. The facade feature bricks are a 50mm slimline brick. We have chosen off white mortar to contrast the dark bricks.

Standard (Labassa) Plumbing was roughed in today as well. The sisalation is due to go up this weekend, with the bricklayers booked for Monday. We should be at lock up in the next couple of weeks.

Day 35

They have started on the roof. We went for a colorbond roof(Woodland Grey). They have installed all the windows. I will get some clear shots hopefully tomorrow, after the tradies go home. I feel like a bit wierd taking photos while the tradies are around. Internal Window to the theatre room. Front entry door frame with translucent glass There was no mention of sarking in the contract, but we did get it.........Bonus!!!
