Bricks Delivered

Our bricks had been delivered sometime on Friday. The bricks we have chosen are Boral Labassa. The facade feature bricks are a 50mm slimline brick. We have chosen off white mortar to contrast the dark bricks.
Slimline brick (Labassa)
Standard (Labassa) Plumbing was roughed in today as well. The sisalation is due to go up this weekend, with the bricklayers booked for Monday. We should be at lock up in the next couple of weeks.

They have started on the roof. We went for a colorbond roof(Woodland Grey). They have installed all the windows. I will get some clear shots hopefully tomorrow, after the tradies go home. I feel like a bit wierd taking photos while the tradies are around. Internal Window to the theatre room. Front entry door frame with translucent glass There was no mention of sarking in the contract, but we did get it.........Bonus!!! Alfresco area sliding bi part sliding doors.Spewing we did not go for corner bifolds. Rear elevation with the roof on(Arse End).

Day 32

I had a call from my mum to say that I should be a bit more serious about what I post on the internet and maybe be a bit more involved technically about the building process. Sorry Mum !!Hope this is better.
Rear Elevation (Arse end)
The front entry, looking down the hallway through to the living areas. We have no bulkheads or obstructions in the run up to the stumps for my indoor cricket pitch. I had selected 2740 ceilings for the purpose of not hitting my knuckles on the ceilings during my bowling action.
Left hand side of the house. Gutters (woodland grey) , fascia (dune) and steel supports in preperation for the colorbond roof, waiting to be installed. Windows were delivered on Saturday. Pretty ballsy having these sitting around for a few days!!!
Front Elevation
Feature casement windows. We have eaves around the house. An absolute essential if you smoke and it is raining.

Enemies!!

Made a detour the other day on the way to work and went past the house to see what the go was. I was admiring my expensive sticks when a Plover decided that I was fair game............. Little @#$%!!!!! Game on.

The @#$% of a thing kept on dive bombing me so the pictures I have taken are from the car, after my flee for safety. They have completed most of the frame and have jammed a couple of windows in............

Tit for Tat!!

Strange things have been turning up around the house. Apparently they have to do with home decoration. Apparently useful.............colourful!!
So this has sparked me into my frenzy of retail therapy. I think my first purchase for the new house is ergonomic, colourful and useful. My new stubby holder!!
Oh.............. apparently there is a concrete slab on the block!!!

Day 12

Sorry about the quality of the photos. They have put in the shitter ( what is wrong with the trees in the park!!), poured the 5 concrete piers at the rear of the slab, connected the electricity, water, recycled water and have dug the trenches for the strip footings for the verandah area.
