Day 5 - Sticks & Stuff

Not much going on....... Just a few sticks to mark out the slab, and the electricity pit has been connected. Next should be the plumbing and the prep for the slab. It has been raining for a change!!

Day 1 - Site Scrape

Went for a drive to the block expecting nothing. They said they were going to start on Friday.....................but they had already started!!!

Floor Plan

After being dragged around to never ending points of Melbourne to look at display homes, we chose the above plan. For myself, it had an undecover area to put the BBQ.................SOLD. I am male and apparently colour blind, so I will not attemt to talk about colours and stuff like that. I tried for a black and white facade, but it did not go down well.

This blog is intended for family and friends, and for any poor sod that stumbles across it to track the progress of our house.

We are building in Eynesbury, right on the western fringe of Melbourne, between Werribee and Melton. We liked the isolation of the estate from other estates, as well as the golf course and the parklands. The estate has tapped class A recycled water and we are opposite a park.

In truth the estate is in the middle of #$%& nowhere, but hey I am slowly building up to the waterfront residence in St Kilda!!!!
